Passover is the story of my liberation from repeating the past into being Here and Now. This story is the basis of “the Book of Exodus.” Synopsis: redeemed from Egypt by the LORD “God” who appointed Moses as the deliverer, and demonstrated his Power via 10 plagues, Israel is given the Decalogue and made the People of the Covenant.
Bottom line: to enter Jerusalem, the “City of Peace,” I must first free myself from Egypt’s slavery. Knowing the codes helps me to engage: Egypt also means “birth canal,” the “LORD” is the law of cause and effect, Moses’ name is the force of inwardness, the Decalogue are the 10 Words (line of colors on the cover) guiding me to avert the 10 Plagues. Pharaoh is the resistant part of me that won’t let my people-beliefs go. Pesach “Passover” is THE holy day when I die to the slave I think I am, to be born as a free spirit who is real, “ISRAEL/REAL!”
