This Year - EZ to Digest

WHY This Year - EZ to Digest?

  • BECAUSE I would really like to understand my reasons for postponing Peace.
  • BECAUSE attacking la pièce de résistance (the last treasure on the map of This Year In Jerusalem!) is such a big bite to digest that I am inclined to begin with an appetizer…
  • BECAUSE, even though I dislike the “two kinds of people” way of thinking, I do tend to see the world split in between the haves and the have-nots.

WHY "This Year?"

Passover is the story of my liberation from repeating the past into being Here and Now. This story is the basis of “the Book of Exodus.” Synopsis: redeemed from Egypt by the LORD “God” who appointed Moses as the deliverer, and demonstrated his Power via 10 plagues, Israel is given the Decalogue and made the People of the Covenant.

Bottom line: to enter Jerusalem, the “City of Peace,” I must first free myself from Egypt’s slavery. Knowing the codes helps me to engage: Egypt also means “birth canal,” the “LORD” is the law of cause and effect, Moses’ name is the force of inwardness, the Decalogue are the 10 Words (line of colors on the cover) guiding me to avert the 10 Plagues. Pharaoh is the resistant part of me that won’t let my people-beliefs go. Pesach “Passover” is THE holy day when I die to the slave I think I am, to be born as a free spirit who is real, “ISRAEL/REAL!”
