The 7x7 Count
WHY the 7x7 Count?
- BECAUSE, unbeknownst to many, there is an ancient ritual of 7x7 weeks in between Passover (the holy “day” when I claim my freedom) and Pentecost (the holy “day” when I am given the law, in other words, when I know what to do). It is potentially the most potent ritual to give, forgive and be free.
- BECAUSE, while I know what to do to be free, I’ve betrayed my word so many times it will take a potent medicine to allow me to trust myself again.
- BECAUSE I wish to drop my story, the resentment that comes with it, and just forgive. I owe it to myself to have such generosity and to stretch to bigger horizons.

Where do I most lose Power? Resisting a creation that I judge as evil, although I am the one who engineered it, is how I trap me into Saṃsāra and its cycles of “reincarnation” (Gilgul in S/Hebrew). The same insane behaviors are now on auto-play, seemingly to no end. This vicious cycle is pictured in ancient wheels, such as the Bhavachakra, to invite the pilgrim in me to look deeply into my inner being, and persevere to the END of dissatisfaction. The same wheel moves the centers of the S/Hebrew Tree of Life, navigating me up and down, until I turn within and center. When I learn the lesson that is behind my repeated drama, it never occurs again.
